Spanish Riding School

The silk scarf “Spanish Riding School“ is inspired by the “Ballet of the White Stallions”. The world-famous performances by the Lipizzans take place in the baroque Winter Riding School at Hofburg Palace, the most beautiful riding hall in the world. It was built under Emperor Charles VI by the architectural dynasty Fischer von Erlach from 1729 until 1735.
The Lipizzan stallions and interior elements of the Winter Riding School can be seen in this scarf design as well as the architects and all emperors, who made a contribution to this historic institution.

Palace of Dreams

The silk scarf “Palace of Dreams” is inspired by the Hermesvilla, which is situated in the middle of the Lainzer Tiergarten in the west of Vienna. In the past, this area was an imperial hunting ground for the Habsburg dynasty, now it is a public nature preserve with a rich wildlife. The villa was built by the famous Ringstrassen architect Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer from 1882 until 1886 at the behest of Emperor Franz Josef, who presented it to his beloved Sisi, Empress Elisabeth. The Empress used it as a place for retreat and called it her “Palace of Dreams”.

Vienna’s Grand Boulevard

The silk scarf “Vienna’s Grand Boulevard” is inspired by the Wiener Ringstrasse that encircles the historic old town of Vienna. In 1857, Emperor Franz Josef ordered the building of the Wiener Ringstrasse – as a consequence, magnificent palaces and monumental public buildings in the so-called “Ringstrasse style”, a type of Historicism, were realised in the following decades.
Many of these famous buildings, such as the Vienna State Opera, the Natural History Museum and Art History Museum, the Parliament, the City Hall and many more can be seen in this  scarf design.
